One of my favorite weddings ever!!! Jaymi and Will were such an adorable couple, and SO IN LOVE!!!! They were married at The Viceroy in Palm Springs. We used hot pink and coral charm peonies, pink piano, toulouse lautrec & baroness garden roses, pink dahlias, and peach ranunculus to create the bouquets. The centerpieces were created with a variety of misc. seasonal blooms including billy balls, yaro, china mums, daisies, chamomile, and gerber daisies.

These beautiful images were taken by my dear friend Katie Scott from Swoon by Katie. The coordination of this gorgeous event was done by the lovely and talented Carter and Cook Event Co. Heather and Ashlyn are absolutely amazing!!

Natalie & Brennan

Natalie was one of those brides you just wanna hug and be friends with! I was so fortunate to work with her, and create the flowers for her special day. We used a combination of garden roses, lavender scabiosa, cafe au late dahlias, geranium, dusty miller, & peach hypericum berries for the bouquets. We also included pink astilbe and yellow butterfly bush in the centerpieces (two of my absolute faves).

Jenn’s baby shower

My super adorable long time friend is having a baby girl! I have known Jenn since jr. high — when she had frizzy bangs and wore overalls (ok- we both did). I love her to death, and could not have been more excited to help host her baby shower last month! I thought everything turned out super darling- I love the soft feminine ranunculus, paired with the super fragrant hyacinth, and finished with camellia leaves. Honestly, during winter there are some gorgeous blooms that get me super jazzed. Yay for babies!!

Stella & Alex

Stella and Alex were married on 9/10/11….such a cool anniversary date! I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of this wedding. Stella has amazing taste, and she really had a vision for a classic, elegant, timeless, garden-chic wedding. She was so easy to work with, and she trusted me completely to do what I do best! This is such a wonderful feeling, and I truly am grateful for every bride that puts their trust in me for such a momentous day in their lives.

Sooooo do you see that chuppah at the ceremony??? I could tell stories about that thing– I really believe it took on it’s own life. It was a true labor of love, but every time I look at it I fall in love all over again.

For the centerpieces, we used all white flowers- dahlias, hydrangea, china mums, stock, and of course phalaenopsis orchids. YUM!! Stella incorporated square, round, and rectangular tables into the Poinsettia Ballroom at La Costa Resort and Spa. This is my absolute fave ballroom in San Diego.

Kathryn & Bryan

Kathryn & Brian were married at the Rancho Bernardo Inn last September. They were such a sweet easy going couple. The wedding really felt effortless. I think the simple/ timeless elegance really made an impact on Kathryn’s family and friends….her mom even called me Monday morning to personally thank me for everything. I was so touched.

I love the simple, rustic elements such as garden roses, seeded eucalyptus, wooden box centerpieces, and rustic candelabras. I also loved how she chose to keep the ceremony classic and white, but added pops of red, burgundy and rust into the centerpieces.

Jill Thomas is so amazingly talented. I just cannot get enough of her gorgeous imagery. I love how simple and light every image is. Really- do I need to say more? The images speak for themselves.

Heather & Chris were married at The Darlington House this past August. I had the privilege of working there 4 times this past year!! I really do love it- the set up is so easy! Each wedding we’ve been a part of has been supercharged with charm and details- just what we love. These images were taken by Heather at Vallentyne Photography. She did a great job of capturing all the little fun details. Jessica Beltran of Moira Events was awesome! She brought in so many of her own props, and really helped with those finishing touches.

Exquisite Weddings Magazine: Southern Vintage

Melissa atI Do Weddings and I brainstormed a few ideas for Exquisite Weddings Magazine’s fall edition photo shoot….and this idea really stuck. I think it was was a great take on all the vintage stuff seen everywhere these days, but the sweet southern charm was a nice little touch.

Everything kinda fell into place…(of course that’s just how wonderful Melissa and her team are at at pulling everything together so seamlessly).

I had collected some milk glass from my grandmothers kitchen, and paired it with some other milk glass I had laying around. Melissa baked some really terrible looking muffins for the favors (sorry Mel)- but that’s cause she’s a momma like me and has 10 gazillion things on her plate. I also found the most adorable wood wagon the day before the shoot. The stationary from Fuzzynk Design Studiowas amazing and spot on! And, the red velvet cake from Sweet Cheeks was a great addition to the details. Thanks to Kristen Peelle for capturing some amazing shots of our flowers!
