Bre & Kyle

Bre and Kyle…where do I begin?  Over the last year Bre has become an amazing friend.  I love her to pieces.  She is a true gem, and a genuinely sweet, kind hearted soul.  You really don’t come across someone like her very often, so I snatched her as my friend as quickly as I could.

When Bre asked me to travel to her family home to create the flowers for her wedding day I was completely honored.  I have never done flowers outside of the SD, OC, LA area, so traveling to Sacramento was both scary and exciting!

Once I got to her home I was welcomed with open arms to the most beautiful property I have ever seen.  Her family brought me in like I was a part of the family, and it made me feel so at ease.  We had pancakes for breakfast, we cruised the neighbors property to look at some amazing antiques they have stored away, and it was overall just an amazing place to be.  I didn’t want to leave!

I wanted to make Bre’s bouquet extra special, so of course I ordered tons and tons of garden roses and peonies, and made it as large as my hands could hold.  Bre’s dad hand made each farm table, as well as her ceremony ladder arch– what a guy!   I used small vintage glass, milk glass, blue and pink glass, along with tarnished silver pieces from her moms amazing collection.  Each had unique combinations of peonies, garden roses, astilbe, waxflower, spirea (one of my faves), astrantia, cafe au lait dahlias, babies breath, and hypericum berries.

Honestly though, the flowers were just  a tiny part of the special day.  Bre and Kyle’s wedding ceremony was heartfelt and truly beautiful.  I cried like a baby.  Their love story and love for God is so unique and inspiring.  I walked away from their wedding brimming with fulfillment and joy.

Bre is also a wedding coordinator herself. Her attention to detail is impeccable, and she has several years of planning under her belt. You must check her out if you are looking for a wedding planner…… Joyful Weddings and Events.

Jenny & Chris: Featured on Junebug Weddings

Jenny and Chris were married at Maravilla Gardens in Camarillo.  It is such a beautiful, serene place, I fell in love with it the moment we stepped foot on the property.  Jenny looked absolutely stunning.  I just love seeing the bride so glamorous, happy, and glowing on her special day.  Jenny was the epitome of how a bride should look, feel and act on her wedding day.  It was so obvious that she was thrilled to be marrying Chris, and their love emanated that day.

Lauren & Taylor: Featured on Green Wedding Shoes

Lauren and Taylor were married at Condor’s Nest Ranch.  It’s one of those venues that I  feel so connected to.  The scenery and surroundings are gorgeous and the venue has so many quirky, fun little areas to run off to.  I’m sure Katie from Swoon by Katie had fun cruising around the property with this super fun couple.

Lauren has such great taste.  Working with her was a dream because she kept her vision simple, and she gave me pretty much full reign of the floral choices.  I was so happy with the results.  We used dahlias, succulents, garden roses, lisianthus, scabiosa pods, seeded eucalyptus, and dusty miller.  EEK SO PRETTY!

Lauren & Sean

This wedding took place at Leo Carrillo Ranch, in Carlsbad. I love this quaint farm style location! The peacocks are always just hanging around, and I enjoy their company when we set up. Lauren and Sean were one of the sweetest, easy going couples I have ever worked with. Lauren put all her trust in me, and let me do my thing. I just adore her for that.

I got to use some of my fave flowers here: hyacinth, veronica, ranunculus, juliet garden roses, and chamomile daisies.

The stunning images below were taken by the beautiful and oh so talented Jill Thomas.

Vi & Andrew

Vi and Andrew were married at  Twin Oaks Garden Estate.  It’s one of my favorite venues because it’s so quaint and has such a gorgeous natural setting.  There are tons of cute details around the property- including cute vintage couches, tables, and little hutches everywhere. There are adorable rose bushes, hydrangea bushes, and eucalyptus trees everywhere.

We used juliet garden roses, cafe au lait dahlias, antique old dutch roses, white kale, lavender lisianthus, and seeded eucalyptus greens in all the arrangements and bouquets.

These lovely images were taken by the talented Mary at Floataway Studios.  She did such an amazing job capturing that quaint, simple feel, of this wedding. I love how ethereal everything looks!!

The Crosby

The ladies at Two Rings and a Dress did an amazing job with these images!!

This photoshoot was featured in Ceremony Magazine, and we were so honored to be in this lovely mag for the last several years!!  The Crosby is an absolutely beautiful location for a wedding.  It’s so private, and the grounds are lush, green, and beyond stunning.

Don’t you just love the juxtaposition of the succulents, wood boxes with the feminine lace and blush tones?  It’s my fave. We used heleborus, cafe au latte dahlias, snowberries, bay leaves, and roses.

Caroline & Adam

I just loved the sweet colors and amazing spring florals at this wedding!  We used rancunulus, sweet peas, garden roses, peonies, hydrangea, rice flower, and beronium. Caroline was such a sweet, easy going bride!  She pretty much gave me full reign to make centerpieces and bouquets for her lovely wedding to Adam.  I was honored to be there, and to provide the flowers for this beautiful day!
Thank you to Betsy and Jeff at La Vida Creations for these gorgeous images!

Jane & Ryan

Jane and Ryan were married at the San Diego Children’s Museum, and each time I look at the images from their special day I get excited all over again!  Jane obviously has an amazing style – as you can tell from her BHLDN gown GAH!!!!  LOVE IT!! These images are also TO DIE FOR!  You must check out Rachel and Rico at Studio Castillero.  They are super duper talented, and extraordinarily good people!!

Her bouquet was one of my favorites– full of succulents, garden roses, ranunculus, seeded eucalyptus, dusty miller, and spanish moss (EEK!).  It is my absolute favorite thing to use texture!  Using moss, succulents, and wood, combined with a few glamourous elements like garden roses, ranunculus, and feminine ribbon make the bouquets and centerpieces stand out.

Sara & Todd

Sara and Todd were married at the Park Hyatt in Carlsbad.  I must say I love doing weddings at this hotel.  It has a gorgeous ballroom and ceremony courtyard.  An extra bonus is that it’s right down the street from us!

I love the chuppah we created for the ceremony.  To me, the place where the bride and groom will say their vows is sacred, and it really needs to be a special spot for this ritual.  Plus, the pictures look so nice with a stunning backdrop.

We used tons and tons of purple and burgundy dahlias, along with phalaenopsis orchids and hydrangea.  The orchids really give it the elegance and drama that a ballroom needs.  The stemmed mercury glass candles are that finishing touch that create that ambiance to make the flowers stand out.
